About Maria
RN, RNS, BSc (Hons), Dip AuA, CES (CETI)

Maria earned her nursing degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, and later specialised in oncology nursing at the prestigious Royal Marsden School in London. Over the past decade, she has built a robust career across both the NHS and private healthcare sectors, rising to the role of Senior Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist.
With a strong foundation in clinical oncology, Maria brings not only expertise but deep empathy to her practice. She has consistently demonstrated a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care, supporting patients through every phase of their cancer journey.
Recognising the limitations of conventional cancer care, Maria is passionate about bridging the gap between evidence-based medicine and holistic support. She believes that integrating personalised, whole-person strategies alongside medical treatment can lead to improved outcomes and a better quality of life for people affected by cancer.
Maria is registered to practice adult nursing in the UK by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and a proud member of several leading professional bodies, including the Royal College of Nursing (RCN), UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS), the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS), the Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO), and the College of Medicine. She has completed BMAS’s foundation course in medical acupuncture with a focus on oncology and palliative care, as well as training in TCM auricular acupuncture. She also holds certification as a Cancer Exercise Specialist from the Cancer Exercise Training Institute (CETI).
Maria’s work is grounded in clinical excellence, compassion, and innovation. She continues to champion integrative oncology approaches that honour each patient as a whole person — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
"Maria is deeply committed to improving the lives of cancer patients" Liam S.
Why I choose to support my patients with an Integrative Oncology approach
Through my extensive clinical experience in oncology, I’ve witnessed first-hand how integrative care can make a profound difference in the lives of people affected by cancer. This approach is grounded in evidence, involves minimal risks when practiced responsibly, and—most importantly—places the patient at the heart of every decision.
Integrative oncology allows us to support the whole person, not just treat the disease. It brings together conventional treatment with safe, complementary therapies to reduce symptoms, improve quality of life, and foster resilience across the cancer continuum.
As a regulated and accountable professional, I am committed to guiding my patients toward approaches that are safe, science-backed, and truly supportive. I also educate and protect my patients by helping them avoid therapies that make false promises or lack evidence—because misleading claims can be not only ineffective but potentially harmful.
My goal is to empower every patient to feel informed, supported, and cared for in a way that honours their values, health, and dignity

Nursing Code of Conduct and Ethics
As a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK, I aim to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and compassionate care in every aspect of my practice.
I am guided by the core principles of the NMC Code, and I embed them into every interaction by:
Prioritising people – I place your needs, preferences, and dignity at the heart of everything I do. You will always be treated with respect, kindness, and without judgement.
Practising effectively – I draw on over a decade of oncology nursing experience, underpinned by evidence-based knowledge and continuous professional development.
Preserving safety – I act within the boundaries of my competence, maintain full professional insurance, and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure my support is safe, coordinated, and appropriate.
Promoting professionalism and trust – I maintain honesty, integrity, and transparency in all areas of my practice. You can expect confidentiality, accountability, and a respectful, ethical approach at all times.
I'm proud to integrate these values with a holistic, person-centred ethos, I aim to deliver care that supports my patients with a mind- body and spirit approach.
Behind the clinical training and experience, I’m also someone who genuinely cares. I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people during some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments. That has taught me the value of listening without judgement, showing up with empathy, and always treating people with the kind of compassion that doesn’t need to be spoken—just felt.
You are not just a patient to me. You’re a person. And you deserve care that honours both your health and your humanity.
