Terms and Conditions of Service
1. Application These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Maria Vega, trading as Holo Health Ltd. ("I" "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website or booking services, you agree to these terms. These terms are intended to ensure clarity, safety, and a mutual understanding between us and you, the client.
2. Services Provided Maria Vega offers holistic, evidence-informed, integrative oncology nursing consultations, education, and support services. These services are intended to complement—not replace—your conventional oncology care, and are not suitable for acute, emergency, or urgent care needs. My advice has no intention to treat your illness and should never replace your clinical team which will remain responsible for your medical and nursing care.
We don't provide emergency support, if you are unwell or have any concerns, you should always seek assistance from your care team or national emergency services.
Our services include:
Individual consultations (online or in-person)
A structured 12-week program of integrative oncology support with weekly consultations (online or in-person)
Medical acupuncture
Maria Vega is a UK-registered Nurse with appropriate professional insurance and follows UK regulatory standards. We do not provide clinical procedures such as chemotherapy, infusion therapy, injections, or administration of palliative medications. This is not a comprehensive list and we reserve the right to decline any request of a similar nature.
3. Payment and Booking Terms
Payment is due upon booking on our system.
Cancellations must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice or missed appointments will not be eligible for rescheduling or refund.
Cancellations made with 48 hours notice will be fully refunded or rescheduled.
The 12-week program may be completed within up to 6 months from the initial payment date . Sessions not used within this period will be forfeited.
The 12-week program in person includes medical acupuncture in the fee, only if desired by patient and also deemed appropriate by the practitioner. The practitioner can decline to provide medical acupuncture at their own discretion, and will always provide a rationale for this. Some examples of safety concerns include but are not reduced to: Cytopenia, infections, lymphoedema, terminal cachexia, Psychosis, anticoagulant medications, etc.
No refunds are offered if you decide to cancel the program after you enrolled and made the payment. Sessions may be rescheduled within the 6-month window.
The 8 acupuncture session package should ideally be booked within 8 weeks for maximum potential benefit, however it may be completed within up to 3 months from the initial payment date. Sessions not used within this period will be forfeited.
No refunds are offered if you decide to cancel the program after you enrolled and made the payment. Acupuncture only sessions may be rescheduled within the 3-month window.
Sessions are strictly non transferable.
No refunds are offered in the unfortunate case of death of the booking holder.
4. Scope of Practice and Safety
Maria Vega does not provide or promote treatments that lack scientific evidence or that make false or unverified health claims. Our support is not intended to treat illness in any case, shape or form.
Any complementary therapy or lifestyle advice provided will be evidence-informed and patient will be fully informed if any risk involved.
All support will be given after formal written consent has been given by an individual with full mental capacity.
5. Confidentiality and Data Protection
All information shared during consultations will be treated confidentially and in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 (UK GDPR).
Your information will not be shared with any third party unless you give explicit consent, or if required by law.
Secure notes are kept in a professional health records system compliant with UK healthcare data regulations.
6. Disclaimer
The information and services provided on this site and in consultations are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from your GP, oncologist, or any other healthcare professional.
Always consult your medical team before making changes to your cancer care or treatment plan.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes from integrative oncology support. Benefits vary by individual and are based on best available evidence.
7. Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide full and accurate information regarding your diagnosis, medications, treatments, and medical history.
You acknowledge that integrative support works best when integrated with your conventional care plan and open communication with your clinical team.
You agree not to withhold information or disclose false statements with regards to your health.
8. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Care
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services in cases where there is:
Evidence of unrealistic expectations
Concerns of safety for the patient
Use of unsafe or unregulated therapies alongside our support
Disrespectful or abusive behaviour toward staff
A clinical judgment that care is outside our scope
9. Professional Regulation and Insurance
Maria Vega is a Registered Nurse in the UK and holds a PIN number and current professional indemnity insurance for Complementary Therapists and Healthcare Professionals provided by Markel International Insurance Company Limited.
Memberships: Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Royal College of Nursing (RCN), UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS), British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS), Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO). The college of medicine.
10. Contact and Complaints If you have a concern or complaint, please email support@holohealth.co.uk We aim to resolve complaints within 10 working days.
11. Governing Law These terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
