Holo Health provides specialist integrative oncology support with a focus on safe, evidence-based medical acupuncture for people affected by cancer.
With a combination of online and in-person support at any of our treatment rooms at The Light Centre in central London, we offer personalised support to help manage pain, fatigue, hot flushes, neuropathy, insomnia, anxiety, and other side effects of treatment.
Our approach combines specialist oncology nursing expertise with whole-person strategies. Every session is designed to complement your medical care, aiming to improve well-being, restore balance, and build resilience. Appointments are confidential, professional, and tailored to your individual needs.
Our services complement oncology treatment and are not a replacement for it.
"Maria is deeply committed to improving the lives of cancer patients" Liam S.
I’m Maria Vega, a Senior Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist with more than a decade of experience across the NHS and private healthcare. I trained in oncology nursing at the Royal Marsden School and continue to collaborate with centres of excellence in Cancer Care.
I’m registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and an active member of:
Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS)
British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS)
Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO)
College of Medicine
My specialist training includes:
Medical acupuncture with a focus on oncology and palliative care (BMAS)
Auricular acupuncture (College of Chinese Medicine)
Cancer Exercise Specialist certification, Cancer exercise training institute (CETI)
Mindfulness-Based Cancer Recovery (MBCR) facilitator training
As a nurse regulated by the NMC, my practice is guided by their code:
Prioritising people – placing dignity, respect, and compassion at the centre of care.
Practising effectively – drawing on over a decade of oncology nursing and continuous professional development.
Preserving safety – working within my competence, with full insurance, and in collaboration with oncology teams.
Promoting professionalism and trust – ensuring confidentiality, accountability, and integrity in every interaction.
Behind the clinical training and expertise, I’m simply someone who cares deeply about the people I support. Patients often tell me that what mattered most wasn’t just the interventions, but being truly seen, heard, and supported through some of life’s most difficult moments.
About Maria Vega
At The Light Centre, Marylebone, I see a limited number of patients each week to ensure highly personalised care.
I also run a Compassionate Access Fund to support individuals who may otherwise struggle to access this type of specialist service.
Whether easing treatment side effects, supporting recovery, or helping restore balance, my focus is always the same: enhancing quality of life through an approach that combines clinical expertise with holistic support.
Through years of oncology practice, I’ve seen how integrative care transforms the cancer experience. When used responsibly and guided by evidence, complementary approaches can ease symptoms, improve quality of life, and build resilience.
My goal is to ensure you feel informed, supported, and empowered — always with care that respects your values, health, and dignity.
As a regulated professional, I’m committed to:
Guiding patients towards therapies that are safe and science-backed
Protecting patients from misleading or harmful claims
Offering clear, compassionate, and practical support at every stage
