Evidence You Can Trust

In 2017, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) endorsed the Society for Integrative Oncology (SIO) guidelines, recognising therapies such as meditation, yoga, acupuncture, and massage as safe and effective during cancer treatment.

In 2023, ASCO and SIO updated their guidance, highlighting mind-body therapies and acupuncture as essential supportive options for managing symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and pain.

Maria was a lifeline for me and my family during one of the most difficult chapters of our lives. She helped me understand what was happening with my treatment, answered questions no one else seemed to have time for, and brought a sense of calm through our sessions. I honestly don’t know how we would’ve coped without her.” — Sarah L.

COLLABORATIVE CARE

Working Together

What is Person-Centred Cancer Support?

At the heart of my support is a structured 12-week program that brings together the best of evidence-informed, compassionate, and personalised support.

Grounded in clinical expertise and aligned with available guidelines, it is built around 7 Pillars of Person-Centred Integrative Oncology Support.

Each pillar reflects a key area of holistic care, tailored to your unique needs, goals, and cancer journey—whether you’re preparing for treatment, in recovery, navigating survivorship or palliative care.

Integrative oncology is a patient-centred, evidence-informed approach that combines conventional cancer treatments with complementary therapies—such as medical acupuncture, mind-body practices, supportive nutrition, and restorative movement. The goal: to enhance your wellbeing and resilience before, during, and after treatment.

It uses evidence based and evidence informed interventions like nutrition, exercise, meditation, acupuncture, yoga, massage, etc.

Integrative oncology does not replace treatment, but works alongside it to help you:

Optimize quality of life

Manage symptoms

Strengthen emotional wellbeing and resilience

Support physical function and recovery

Why It Matters

  • Allows you to be an active participant in your care journey

  • Promotes safer coordination with your oncology team
